Belief Therapy

Life brings many challenges. Being able to process and frame them is an art and is necessary to keep balance, equilibrium, homeostasis in one's life. Vivienne with Empty Cup Counseling (ECC) uses the tool of perception reframing in her practice. Perception Reframing technique allows the client to process and grow from life’s events and challenges. The objective is to arrive in a space of healing and wholeness with the help of the trained helper. Individuals work through their topics away from their families, churches, employee assistance programs, state counselors, and other mainstream sources which is providing a safe space of confidentially to emerge renewed, refreshed, and equipped for whatever else life has in store, with homeostasis of mind, body and soul.

Counseling About Life Issue

Shame, guilt, embarrassment, lack of privacy and confidentiality oftentimes keeps people from seeking help. Many people carry unprocessed baggage throughout their entire lives which later manifests in illness, neurosis, uncontrollable emotions during times of pressure among many other phenomena.
Belief Therapy (BT) counseling provides the platform to bring life's challenges, the "hard places", issues and problems to a caring professional who based on a Biblical foundation will incorporate the Word of God to seek answers with the client. In the Bible the Word of God is described to be "... living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Heb 4:12).

Why Belief Therapy? - BT not LPC
Belief Therapy (BT) not Licensed Practical Counseling (LPC)

Your counseling/consulting appointments are based on Belief Therapy, "For as a man (woman) thinks in his (her) heart, so is he (she). " Prov 23:7, or put another way:
"IF you think (believe) you CAN, or if you think (believe) you CAN'T, - you are right !"
Compared to an LPC session with a state appointed professional, BT is independent and „off grid“ providing a safe space to discuss private personal life challenges discussed with a professional theologically focused counselor. Records remain sealed and confidential not entering "the system". The only exception would arise with the obligation as health care and counseling professional of reporting self harming thoughts (suicidal ideations) or homicidal ideations.
